Formed in 1908 as part of the Territorial Force, 30 Signal Regiment traces its origins to early volunteer signal units—pioneers in military communication. Since then, the regiment has operated in every major British military theatre: from jungle warfare in Borneo to peacekeeping in Bosnia, to more recent operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Sudan.
