A former soldier has developed a new fitness wear brand to inspire and motivate people to reach their goals.

Brian Wood MC, a former Colour Sergeant of the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, has launched the Keep Attacking range for men, women and children, with items including shorts, vests, leggings, hoodies, jackets and t-shirts.

However, Brian, who developed the range with his wife Lucy, hopes Keep Attacking will mean more to people than just items of clothing.

He said:

“Keep Attacking is about having the belief and courage to tackle anything you’re facing head on. I want people to wear the clothing with pride and feel motivated when they put it on to reach whatever goal they’re striving for. I’ve used all my professional and personal experiences in developing Keep Attacking, because when I was at my lowest I knew that if kept going – if I Keep Attacking – I will get out the other side.”

Brian, from Whitehill in Hampshire, was awarded the Military Cross, one of Britain’s highest awards for gallantry in combat, for his courageous leadership under enemy fire in Iraq. But his integrity was called into question in the Al-Sweady Inquiry, which investigated allegations of war crimes by British soldiers during the Iraq invasion of 2003. After five years of public shame, Brian took to the stand and his powerful testimony led to full vindication.

Brian has experienced post-traumatic stress, anxiety but the Keep Attacking mantra allowed him to recover. Fitness and wellbeing helped him get through some of the toughest days.

“Keeping active is imperative to our wellbeing – not just our bodies but our minds too. It has helped me deal with a lot of issues throughout my life. All of our items have been designed with comfort and flexibility in mind, so they support and motivate the KA community to back themselves.”

Brian is a father of two sons and carries out speaking appearances talking about his Sunday Times Best Selling book Double Crossed, which details his time in the army and his experiences with the Al Sweady inquiry.

Under the Keep Attacking brand, Brian has recently started a new partnership with Alton Football Club and Forces Cars Direct where he will be delivering workshops on developing a winning mindset and how to overcome adversity.
